Also known as a Fusebox or Consumer Unit

We upgrade, replace and install consumer units to ensure they are safe, secure and up to the latest electrical standards. Fuse boxes are the most critical part of any electrical installation – they contain overcurrent protective technology that prevent any fires or electrocution. They are vital to prevent a fatal electric shock in your home or workplace.

A consumer unit is the term which includes all circuit breakers, fuses and incoming mains power in the property.

Before we install your new consumer unit, we will test your current electrical wiring to ensure your electrics are properly installed and up to date, in line with the BS7671 standards. Once this is confirmed, we will give you a certificate for your future reference and begin the consumer unit installation. Please see more information on Electrical Safety & Testing here.

After your new consumer unit is installed, we will issue a full installation certificate (please keep this safe), a Part P notification to your local authority and a 10-year warranty on all parts and workmanship.

When do I need to replace my fusebox?

Since 2001, it is now regulation to ensure residual current device (RCD) protection is included within all electrical installations. RCD works by ensuring the device trips and cuts power if there is any kind of fault. It also makes sure the unit is safe when electricity is supplied outside.
